WRENWOOD

I'm Wren

I am a creative soul who quit my career to freely create, has a soft spot for secondhand items, and who writes from the heart.

Much like Neverland is to Peter Pan, cozy nooks are my happy place, just like this one you're visiting at the moment!

So, would you like an adventure now

or would you like to have your tea first?

MY World Of

Pure Imagination

I've always loved, appreciated, and made art since I was young. My career as a hairstylist and makeup artist only nurtured my creativity and meticulous nature and gave me even more appreciation for the style and process of other creatives.

In more recent years, my appreciation has led to discovering some of my favorite artists such as Camille Pissarro, Jess Velarde, Wayne Theibaud, and Kyra Kendall. Their styles always display a freedom and creativity that resonate so deeply with me!

Recently quitting my long standing career as a stylist may have been incredibly intimidating, but always an artist in some form, my husband has lovingly reminded me that I’m only doing what I’ve always done—switching to another canvas, another color, a different medium.

With that truth, I'm incredibly grateful for the opportunities to have worked with so many evolving canvases and mediums over the years and I'm happy to find myself traveling down a new creative path. One that is allowing me to slowly immerse myself in a world where I too can create with freedom.

Observe that it is a great error to believe that all mediums of art are not closely tied to their time

Love me Two Times

When I was little, I had an obsession with cash registers, playing store, and saving EVERY single cent of money I received!

Before the age of 12, I had the grand idea of setting up a real "store" in our house! I would market my weekend pop-up shops by telling my family members all of the details days beforehand. I would have all the goods they NEEDED—stickers, gum, erasers, crayons, etc. I took treasure hunting around my room very seriously. You name it, I would have it for you.

While saving money was still important to me as I got older, I began to release my grasp of it as my mom frequently brought me along on her thrifting adventures! I quickly discovered my newfound obsession of perusing racks and shelves overflowing with scores of secondhand items! Purchasing thrifted items and giving them new life within my own closet and living spaces became a lifelong and rewarding pursuit!

I'd say not too much has changed—although I've found new places to treasure hunt, I'm sharing my unique finds and my passion of thrifting with others, my phone is my cash register, and my pop-up shop has matured in its inventory and migrated to Poshmark!

I never buy what someone says is ‘in’ or a ‘must-have’. I buy what makes me happy
